Geoffrey R. Cobham, SPHR

Mr. Cobham is a Human Resources Consultant.  He has an extensive human resources generalist background that includes: recruiting/staffing, compensation and benefits administration, employment law compliance, policy development, EEO, training, employee relations, union avoidance and safety/OSHA compliance.   Mr. Cobham has over 25 years in the human resources field -having worked as a Human Resources Manager and as a Human Resources Consultant.  He has a B.S. degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia, an M.B.A. from Adelphi University and has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Working as a Human Resources Consultant for the past 5 years, Mr. Cobham has provided HR services to companies ranging in size from 100 employees to Fortune 100 corporations.  His HR consulting services have included:
  • Assisting companies define, set up and/or enhance HR functions - utilizing an initial needs assessment survey
  • Developing effective recruiting/screening strategies
  • Establishing structured compensation programs - including the conducting of wage/benefit surveys.
  • Developing personnel policies and employee handbooks
  • Employment law compliance reviews
  • Developing safety programs to ensure OSHA compliance and containment of workers' compensation costs,
  • Assisting with the selection and training of human resources staff
