Team
Management Systems (TMS) is a system of work based, research
proven assessments and feedback instruments worldwide that support individuals,
teams and organizations to effect positive, lasting change and achieve higher
performance in the workplace.
The TMS system is based on extensive research with managers
that identified eight key work functions that need to be carried out if a team
is going to be successful. The Team Management Index was developed to find a
relationship between these work functions and individual work preferences. The
result was the following Team Management Wheel.

The Team Management Index can be used to identify an
individual employee’s work preferences. The Types of Work Index identifies
which of the eight key work functions are critical in a particular job. This can
be helpful when creating a new position or job description. The Linking Skills
Index is a 360°
feedback instrument that measures an individuals ability in the eleven TMS
linking skills. Some of these skills include communication, work allocation,
delegation, etc. Finally, the Team Performance Index is a multi-rater tool that
measures the eight work functions and linking for entire teams. This can be used
to increase the effective ness of new teams or as special project teams are
formed. Each index generates a corresponding profile outlining the results of
the assessment.
As certified facilitator’s of TMS, we can assist in
implementing TMS in your organization. Indexes can be completed either online or
on paper and returned to our office. We would then generate the report and
facilitate the feedback in a variety of methods. The feedback sessions can be
built into a larger team building session or could be facilitated on its own.
Each session will be customized to meet the needs of the organization.
